Africa Yes! is a 501(c)3 founded by Steve Cameron, whose first project started as a Peace Corps volunteer in the village of Gbeworbu in 1987. After the end of the civil war in Sierra Leone, he sent word to the village via co-founder and Sierra Leonean, Braima Moiwoi. In 2006 Steve reinitiated the medical project started before the war and started several more projects.
Initially incorporated as The Sierra Leone Partnership (2008 to 2009), the organization filed for a dba (doing business as) for Africa Yes!, to reflect the full aspects of the projects and organisation. Read the Full History Here |
